Since her return to the seas, MSC Grandiosa has welcomed over 55,000 guests onboard in total safety thanks to the industry-leading health and safety protocol.

MSC Grandiosa, as with MSC Seaside and the other ships in our 18-strong fleet host the beautiful MSC Aurea Spa, and we’ve spent some time with MSC Grandiosa’s Spa Manager to find out more!

 

Good Morning! Tell us a bit about yourself!

My name is Liviu Moldovan, I am from Romania and I started my career at sea 8 years ago as a Fitness Instructor and then progressed to Spa Manager. I’m brand new to MSC Cruises,  recently joining as Spa Manager. I was attracted to MSC Cruises as it is a family company with strong company values.

 

MSC Grandiosa, like the other ships in our fleet, has an MSC Aurea Spa.  What kind of services can guests enjoy?

When you enter MSC Aurea Spa, you enter a world of relaxation and wellbeing.

 

The choice is vast from a range of massages, facial and body treatments. Guests also have the option to visit our exclusive Thermal Area*, attend fitness classes within our state of the art Gym. There’s even a Hair Salon, Barber Shop and Nail Salon. There is something for everyone.
 
What, in your opinion, is special about the MSC Aurea Spa?

The design and facilities in my opinion are unique to the MSC Aurea Spa but our people are what I truly feel makes the MSC Aurea Spa special, bringing experience, knowledge and passion to the services they provide on board.

 

What are the absolutely unmissable treatments and services available?

This is the hardest question because of the wide variety of treatments and services offered. In my opnion you cannot miss out on visiting the Thermal Area and my personal favourite and the Lava Stone massage for ultimate relaxation.

 

What other beauty treatments can be booked while onboard?

We offer a range of beauty treatments including Makeup, Waxing and Lash and Brow Treatments.

 

What kind of treatments are available for men?

As well as enjoying all of our Spa Treatments, men also have the opportunity to book grooming and shave services within the Barber Shop.

 

How can the spa staff guarantee the safety of spa guests? What health and safety protocol has been introduced? 

The health and safety of our guests and staff is our biggest priority. Both guests and staff are required to wear face masks during treatments and there is a very high standard of cleaning and sanitation throughout the day between guests along with other important health and safety measures.
