WHAT TO WEAR ON A CRUISE

We want to make sure you are always prepared when cruising with MSC. Below are some suggestions to make sure you pack appropriate clothing
for the various activities you will undertake during your cruise.

Informal evenings

For informal evenings, we recommend summery dresses for women and a lightweight jacket for men

Gala evenings

For Gala evenings, the dress code is more formal. We suggest a tuxedo, dinner jacket, or dark suit and tie for men and a dressy outfit, formal gown, or cocktail dress for women.

Theme parties

We organise various daytime and evening Theme Parties on board. You may wish to bring bright fun clothes for the Sunshine Party and something white for the White Party.

Dress Code and Local Customs

When going ashore, guests are responsible for ensuring that their attire is respectful of local customs, religious requirements, and legal regulations of the destination. Many ports of call have specific standards of modesty or decorum, particularly when visiting religious sites, government buildings, or rural communities.

Guests are strictly advised that in certain jurisdictions, the wearing of camouflage patterns or any clothing resembling military/police uniforms is a criminal offense and may lead to fines, confiscation of the garments, or detention by local authorities for security reasons.

It is the guest’s sole responsibility to research and comply with the laws of each visited country.
MSC Cruises shall not be held liable for any legal consequences, fines, or denied entries resulting from inappropriate or prohibited attire.

Sport lovers

For sports lovers, gym shoes and tracksuit are must-haves when using our cutting-edge gym and attending yoga and dance courses, where available

Northern Europe cruises

For cruises sailing towards the Svalbard islands and Polar areas, please ensure you have adequate polar clothing.
