FAQ

What drink package is included in the MSC Yacht Club?

The Premium Extra Package is included with the Yacht Club experience on all cruises. Please note: The limit of 15 alcoholic beverages per day applies only to areas outside the exclusive Yacht Club area. Within the Yacht Club, guests can enjoy the alcoholic beverages of their package without any restrictions.

Are beverage packages available on all sailings, fleetwide?

Yes, drink packages are available on all MSC Cruises ships, excluding ships sailing in South Africa and China.

Do the drinks included in drinks packages vary depending on the ships, destinations or seasons? 

Yes, the brand of the products varies depending on destination and season.

Which packages are available for my cruise? 

The following packages are available:
• Premium Extra Package
• Alcohol-Free Package
• Minors Package

Packages must be booked by all guests occupying the same cabin, traveling together and wishing to dine at the same table.
To check which drink package you can add to your cruise, log into My MSC Area.

 


Are gratuities included in the drinks package cost?

Yes. All MSC Cruises' pre-paid and post-paid drink packages include gratuities.

Can drinks packages be used on Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve?

Yes, all drinks packages can be consumed on Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve and on Sir Bani Yas in Emirates. The islands beverage may not include the full onboard beverage selection.

Will you serve alcohol on cruises calling on Saudi Arabian ports?

Please be advised that in respect to the Saudi Law, alcohol will not be served during the Calls in Saudi Arabian ports. Alcohol will be available to our guests when the ship sails in International Waters.

If an adult purchases a drinks package are guests required to do the same thing as well?

Yes, the Minors Package must be purchased for all guests travelling with adults who purchase a beverage package. Applicable for minors aged 3-17 on European itineraries and 3-12 on North American and Caribbean itineraries (Alcohol-free package available for minors 13-20 years old).

Can I upgrade my drink package?

Guests will be able to upgrade their beverage packages to Easy, Easy Plus and Premium Extra prior to embarkation.

What happens if I want to enjoy a drink not included in my package?

Yes, upselling option is available on board to all Guests who purchase alcoholic all-inclusive beverage packages Easy, Easy Plus and Premium Extra and who want to enjoy cocktails, spirits and/or wines by the glass that are not included in their package. Guests will pay only the price difference between the package allowance and the à la carte price of ordered drinks. Beverage gratuities will be applied to the price difference for above drinks not included in the package.

What happens when I reach my 15-alcoholic drink per day maximum?

As part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all our guests, we have updated our Beverage Package to include a maximum of 15 alcoholic drinks per day, per guest. This change is designed to promote responsible enjoyment and to enhance the quality of service. Once a guest has consumed 15 drinks within a 24hrs period, measured from 06:00-06:00, they will be able to purchase drinks at the full menu price.

I booked a Grand Voyages cruise or an MSC World Cruise. Is there any drinks package included?

MSC Grand Voyages

On Grand Voyages cruises the packages are not included per default but may vary according to your travel agency offer/promotion.

MSC World Cruise

On MSC World Cruise the Dine & Drinks package is included. It includes: house wines, draught beer, soft drinks and mineral water that can be consumed during lunch and dinner in our main restaurants and in the buffet.

Can I purchase a drink package before my cruise?

Yes, all drink packages can be purchased before your cruise, with a discount of up to 15% compared to onboard prices. Discounts may vary based on seasonal offers or special promotions. Please note that for cruises to the Caribbean, North America, and Alaska, the Easy and Easy Plus packages are only available for pre-cruise purchase and cannot be bought onboard.

What happens if I have already purchased an all-inclusive beverage package and I request a date change to a cruise date later than 01 April 2025?

New all-inclusive packages will be available at the new pricing and conditions.
