WHAT IS THE CRUISE ASSURANCE PROGRAM?

Our new Cruise Assurance program allows any new booking made between August 5, 2020 - May 31, 2021 to cancel their cruise up to 48 hours before the cruise departure and reschedule for a future sailing. If you choose to difer your cruise and reschedule, a Future Cruise Credit will be given in the amount paid that is valid on any MSC cruise on or before September 30, 2022.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN CRUISE ASSURANCE?

The Cruise Assurance program includes:
- Cruise cancellation up to 48 hours before your cruise and reschedule for a future date
- Effective for all new booking made between August 5, 2020 - May 31, 2021 AND departing on or before September 30, 2022
- Future Cruise Credit in the amount paid valid on any cruise on or before September 30, 2022

Which sailing dates are included in Flexible Booking Changes?

If you booked your cruise between August 1st, 2020 - July 31, 2022 AND your cruise departs through March 31, 2023, you qualify for Flexible Booking Changes.

*Note: All guests participating in Flexible Booking Changes must cruise on or before March 31, 2023.

DO STANDARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS APPLY FOR FINAL PAYMENT

Yes, final payment is due no later than 90 days prior to your cruise departure on cruises less than 15 nights. For cruises 15 nights or greater, final payment is due no later than 110 days prior to your cruise departure.

How do I participate in Flexible Booking Changes?

In order to participate in Flexible Booking Changes, you will need to call our Contact Centre at least 48 hours for cruise only prior to your cruise departure. Let our Contact Centre know you would like Flexible Booking Changes and you wish to move your cruise to another date and/or ship.


Our Contact Centre will help you move the funds on your original cruise booking to your new cruise booking. Your new cruise booking must sail on or before March 31, 2023. You may choose any ship/sail date.

HOW DO I TAKE ADVANTAGE OF CRUISE ASSURANCE

In order to participate in the cruise assurance program, you will need to call our Contact Center at least 48 hours prior to your cruise departure. Let our Contact Center know you would like Total CruiseFlex and you wish to move your cruise to another date and/or ship. 

Our Contact Centre will help you move the funds on your original cruise booking to your new cruise booking. Your new cruise booking must sail on or before September 30, 2022. You may choose any ship/sail date. 

WHEN DOES MY FUTURE CRUISE CREDIT EXPIRE?

If you choose to reschedule your cruise and receive a Future Cruise Credit, you must use this credit by December 31, 2021. 

WHAT IF THERE IS A DIFFERENCE IN THE NEW CRUISE PRICE VS. MY FUTURE CRUISE CREDIT?

If your new cruise booking is greater than the value of your Future Cruise Credit, you will be responsible for the difference. Alternatively, if the new cruise fare is lower than the Future Cruise Credit's value, a new Future Cruise Credit will be issued for the balance. 

DOES THIS PROGRAM APPLY RETROACTIVELY TO PREVIOUSLY CANCELLED BOOKINGS?

The program goes into effect on August 1st, 2020, therefore any booking cancelled prior to this new temporary cancellation policy change will be in standard cancellation penalty and will not be eligible for this program.

CAN GUESTS IN A BOOKING CHOOSE TO CANCEL, WHILE OTHER GUESTS DO NOT CANCEL AND DECIDE TO CRUISE?

No, MSC Cruises Assurance must apply to ALL guests within the booking. The associated Future Cruise Credit will list ALL guest names in the booking. The amount of the Future Cruise Credit will be equal to the full cruise fare of the original booking. Government taxes and fees will be automatically refunded. The FCC is non-transferable and non-refundable.

IF I WAS ORIGINALLY TRAVELING WITH A FRIEND AND AT THE TIME OF REBOOKING HE/SHE DOESN'T WANT TO TRAVEL, CAN I GO ALONE?

Yes, keep in mind the full value of the Future Cruise Credit will apply to the future booking. MSC will not provide either a refund or an Future Cruise Credit to the individual that subsequently decides not to travel. Single supplement charges will apply and, if the future booking costs more than the original booking, the guest is responsible to pay the difference. If the price of the future booking is less than the original booking, an Future Cruise Credit for the balance will be issued to the guests that appeared in the original reservation.

WHAT IF I DO NOT CHOOSE CRUISE ASSURANCE?

Standard cancellation penalties will apply if you do not wish to participate in the Cruise Assurance program.

WHEN IS THE LATEST I CAN CHANGE MY CRUISE?

Please see the table below to see when you must difer your cruise by in order to be eligible for our Cruise Assurance program.

CANCEL UP TO 48 HOURS BEFORE YOUR CRUISE, RECEIVE A FUTURE CRUISE CREDIT & RESCHEDULE YOUR CRUISE
We want you to feel assured so we're allowing new and existing guests to cancel up to 48 hours prior to their cruise departure and reschedule for a future date. Effective August 1st, 2020, Cruise Assurance is valid on sailings booked between August 2020 and March 31st, 2021 departing on or before April 30, 2022. If you choose to cancel your cruise and reschedule, a Future Cruise Credit will be given in the amount paid that is valid on any MSC cruise on or before April 30, 2022.

If you book directly on our website and you choose to cancel and reschedule your cruise, you must call our contact centre 48hrs prior to cruising before 5pm at 1-833-253-9978. If you booked your cruise with a travel agent, please contact them directly.
